The following table will guide you to determining the volume of water you need a windmill to pump. . Once you have added all your "Totals" together you will need to add a safety margin. Usually this margin is between 10 to 50% and it depends on the reliability of the wind resource - a good wind resource will only require a 10% margin, while a light wind regime will need more (to allow for the days when the wind does not blow).
